Every year I struggle with what to get for the grandparents. I was relieved last night when my sister came up with the idea of giving them a photo calender of their great-grandchildren... perfect idea I thought.
So I start digging through my photos for pictures of Brooke with my nephew Logan that would work in the calender and was terribly disappointed that dispite all the time they spend together that there were not nearly enough photos taken of them together.
Rather than admit defeat, my sister and I decided to stage a little photoshoot this afternoon. We started out incredibly ambitious thinking that maybe we could be so clever as to do a photo for each month. It would be just going to take a little creativity and a lot of costume changes.
The picture at the start of this blog was the second picture taken of the day. ...it pretty much went downhill from there, lol. I'm not sure how we even thought we'd have patience enough to get the kids dressed for 12 unique photos, let alone think that they would go along with it. Getting a 3 year old and a 21 month old to sit in one place for more than 10 seconds is a feat, having them look at the camera and smile in unison just once during that 10 second period is next to impossible. Nevermind the fact that by the second set up both kids are alsready over the whole thing and are ready to all out rebel.
I think in the end we got about 3 usable pictures and a lot of outtakes. Enjoy!
